Ready for Q2 Exams

Their 2nd quarterly exams started last Monday (Oct 17). The exams will be until Thursday (Oct 20). Hannah is quite prepared for it. Thanks to Tita Janet for helping her get ready. We're hoping that she will get perfect scores for most (if not all) of her exams as she always do. Go baby!!! We're proud of you.

Name meanings

Hannah (orig. Hebrew) stands for God's grace (see http://www.babynames.com/ for name meanings and origins) . We've added Mae (spelling altered) because she was conceived in May. Thus, Hannah Mae means God's grace in May.

Maio's real name is Ivan Rey. It should have been Ivan Maio (for he was expected to be born in May) . Since he came shortly (April 20) before the expected date (1st week of May) we named him Ivan Rey. Ivan (orig. Slavic) means God is good.

Both Hannah and Maio were born through CS operation. We thank God for giving us these 2 precious gifts. We love them very much and are proud of them.

Fishes at Greenbelt 3 pond.

Fishes in our aquarium.

Hannah and Maio love fishes. Whenever we go to Greenbelt, it was always their request to drop by the pond (near the chapel) and watch the fishes. They always enjoy watching them. One time her teacher asked her and her classmates about their pets. What are the pets they have? How do they take good care of them?

Since we don't have any they requested Tita Janet to buy them birds (ones that are being sold in the street...and comes with fake colors...hehe). Tita Janet bought them 2 birds in a small bamboo cage. When one of the birds escaped, I told Hannah to free the other one "kasi kawawa naman". Hannah told us that she will free the bird if we will buy an aquarium (marunong ng mag bargain...hehe). Since it was also our dream to have an aquarium at home...we finally bought one (already a complete set) last October 2. It comes with 4 live corals. We're loving the fishes and the corals already as if they are part of our family. We're always excited to see them after work or after school.

Hannah gave a name for each fish. Nemo for the clown fish, Dory for the blue tank (as they are popularly known based on the movie Finding Nemo), Diego for the sea horse (no offense meant to whoever...hehe.), etc.

In celebration of the Filipino month (August 2005) Hannah and all her classmates were required to wear Filipiniana costumes. Mommy bought this from Kultura in SM Makati.

Graduation Day (March 16, 2005)

Hannah was just 3 years old when we enrolled her in a Day Care Center (a nursery and pre-school project of DSWD). Most of her classmates were already 4 years old with some who were already 5 or older. Despite being the youngest among her classmates Hannah excelled and graduated nursery with flying colors.

Right now Hannah (4 years old) is in Kindergarten level at Southeastern College where Grace (Mommy) is teaching. Hannah proved that she can also excel even in the big school where most of his classmates are also older (mostly 5+) and some from rich families. She was one among the 1st honors (basis was the grade not the ranking) in the 1st grading period. Her teacher told Grace that she was among the Top 5 (didn't mention the real rank though).

Since Grace is teaching in the same school where Hannah is studying we are enjoying the 50% discount on tuition and other fees.

Daddy and Mommy are proud of you baby. Keep up the good work!!!
